Itinerary

Day 1 - Calais to Troyes

speed 250 Miles

After a meet and greet at the Euro Tunnel and a little train trip to France we then jump straight onto the motorway for the first hour and half. Exiting the motorway after coffee and a bite to eat we will be checking out the Route Nationals heading south between Paris and Reims, stopping lunch in Chateau Terry. Fun filled back roads all the way down to Troyes for our first night together. Some nice food, drink and chat as we start to make new friends.

Day 2 - Troyes to Grenoble

Today its south all the way down through the Parc National de Forets, Dijon and onto the Mussif de Chartreuse to Grenoble with the temp rising the further south we go.

Day 3 - Grenoble to Corsica

It more travelling due south today as we make our way from Grenoble to the ferry port at Toulon on the Med Coast. Starting the day riding the Route Napoleon down through the gap and Sisteron, cutting through the Luberon National Park across the Sainte-Baume National Park and onto the Med Coast ready for our overnight ferry to Corsica

Day 4 - Corsica

After the overnight ferry crossing to Corsica we will ride the Coast road around the Northern Peninsula then make our way to Calvi for our nights stay.

Day 5 - Calvi - Grand Ajaccio

speed 110 Miles

Leaving Calvi after a great night out down at the harbour we head south following the fantastic west coast road which traces the rugged shore line for over 100 miles. Fantastic riding with stunning coastal views all day long. Our hotel for the next two nights is literally on the beach. Sand between your toes as you sip a cold beer in the bar.

Day 6 - Day off


Total is a total wind down day. Lazing on the beach, swim in the sea, hire a jet ski or canoe, even paddle board or just sit back enjoying the view and sink a couple of cold ones.

Day 7 - Grand Ajaccio - Bonifacio

speed 140 Miles

Coast to coast to coast. Heading over the east coast today. Fast flowing mountain roads, through beautiful forests all with breath taking scenery. We then hug the east coast road down through Porto - Vecchio and down the the southern Port of Bonifacio for the night.

Day 8 - Bonifacio - Cala Gonane

speed 125 Miles

First thing this morning we catch the 1 hour ferry from Bonifacio in Corsica to Santa Teresa Gallura in Sardinia. From here we head down the east coast through the Port of Olbia all the way down the stunning coast road to our holiday resort hotel in Cala Gonane for some fun in the pool and a relax after an epic days ride.

Day 9 - Cala Gonone - Sant Anna Arresi

We head inland today. Down through the forests and mountain road of Southern Sardinia. Its just unbelievable riding all day. There is a reason alot of bike launches are held on this island.

Day 10 - San Anna Arresi - Porto Torres

Today we ride the whole of the west coast of Sardinia with a mountain pass thrown in for fun. Ending the day at the Northern Port of Porto Torres ready to catch our overnight ferry back to Nice in France.

Day 11 - Nice - Saint Quentin-sur-Isere

speed 245 Miles

Leaving the port of Nice we head into Grasse to pick up the Route Napoleon to head north on fast flowing valley roads up past Grenoble and into our Golf hotel for a very relaxing evening sitting on the veranda sipping a cold beer overlooking the Vercors Mountains.

Day 12 - Saint Quentin-Sur-Isere - Troyes

speed 270 Miles

Its north all the way today on fast flowing smooth tarmac through beautiful rolling countryside. The French are the best at putting both of these elements togehter to produce a brilliant days riding, covering the mileage with no motorways used. Troyes tonight, which is always a great place to eat up in the old town quarter.

Day 13 - Troyes to Calais

A quick blast up through Northern France but only the last hour and half are on the motorway as we make our way to Calais. Its a fun route to finish the tour.
