Guided European Motorcycle Tours

General

We take pride in everything that we do, taking motorcycling tours across Europe is absolutely no different. We have a true passion for everything motorcycling. We have travelled around a fair bit of Europe and to be able to take motorbike tours around some of the best biking roads Europe has to offer is a complete privilege. The hospitality that we have found for each of our nightly stops along the way have been selected because of the comfort level, food and beverage options are just what you need at the end of a great day out.

Face will be the tour guide on all the tours and will make himself available if you have any questions or problems 24/7. Dee is available in the UK office if she is not already out on tour with you also.

Have no concerns, by the end of the tour your will have made some new friends. You will not be the only person coming along by yourself but you will will be joining a group of like minded people. Everyone fits in, we all have motorcycling in our blood.

If you book with a friend, then we will share you with that person. If you book a shared room by yourself then you will be sharing with another motorbike enthusiast just as you are. When it comes to the tours, you are going a bunch of like-minded individuals and it is hard not to make new friends.

You will be sent out all your travel information prior to leaving. This includes any EuroTunnel crossing information along with TOMTOM or GARMIN satnav maps that can be uploaded into your own devices. Documentation will be sent around the dos and dont’s off travelling the roads of Europe, suggested kits to bring along and any legal information that is required.

It is always our aim to arrive back in the UK by 17:30 from our European tours.

Yes absolutely. It seems that more and more women are riding their own bikes and giving up their pillion seat. Everyone is welcome to come along.

Most insurance companies do offer European cover as standard these days. However, we do suggest you ring and confirm this prior to leaving. It is a good idea to keep a copy of your insurance with your when you travel.

We do insist that all of our customers have personal breakdown and accident insurance. This is essential for repatriation of yourself and your bike in the event of an accident or medical emergency. In all instances we will be there to assist you wherever we can.

It is generally considered that everyone gets together in the evenings to catch up about the day and to get to know each other. A few beers and something nice to eat with fellow riders is a great way to finish a days riding. It isn’t a holiday without the anecdotes of fellow riders, and general banter among the group. The evenings are a great time to get to know your companions and make some new friends along the way. Should you wish to explore the local towns or cities, there is always time for that too.

We are more than happy to consider changing your Euro Tunnel leaving and returning dates should you wish to make the most of your holiday. Just get it touch.

On tour

This is a tour and not a race to the finish line. Having said that there is always time for a bit of fun along the way. With these tours you will always get a wide range of experience and riding ability. You are always encourage to ride within your own capabilities. The style in which we ride allows for every rider to travel at their own pace, with a front marker and back marker everyone is accounted for.

Each tour gives you general information on the level of experience needed. No two riders are the same but you need to be comfortable with the amount of miles required per day on each tour you go on. The roads of Europe are said to be better quality and less traffic so this does make it often easier to get around. There is nothing like gaining experience and the only way you can do that is by giving it a go.

Mileage can vary day by day and trip by trip. Each trip that is advertised does have an estimate of daily mileage. You should expect to be riding your bike for around six hours a day, this could be up to eight hours on the more adventurous tours. It is generally expected that we leave each hotel by 8.30am and arrive at our next hotel by 18:00. During the day we will be taking regular breaks for coffee, lunch or photos.

Within each rider pack there is the contact details of each hotel that you stay at over the tour. Should you wish to find your own way there you are more than welcome.

We do not operate a support vehicle on our European tours. You are advised to make sure that you have all your travel insurances up to date. Face is a trained mechanic and we are pretty good at fixing a lot of things along the way, however, please make sure all your breakdown and accident insurance is up to date.

We would never say that we can predict the weather. The aim is that it will be sunny and bright, however it is the weather so be prepared. If it rains you will get wet, so bring some wet weather gear.

Finance

Currently petrol is a similar price in Europe as that in the UK, this should make it easier for you to work out your fuel costs for your particular motorcycle. Toll roads are kept to a minimum as we prefer to use the smaller roads. Food and drink costs will vary per person and does depend on how much you can eat and drink. As a rough guide you could spend around 30 Euros for a reasonable evening meal, lunches are generally local cafes or bars and usually cost around 8-10 Euros. It is highly recommended that you take a debit or credit card with you.
