Itinerary

Day 1 - Calais to Ardennes

speed 250 Miles
timer 5.75 hrs

The tour group will assemble outside the EuroTunnel terminal main building (Folkestone) where you will be met by Face.

After short introductions and a quick briefing we will make our way to the train.

Once in France we hop straight onto the motorway to make a quick transit through Northern France towards Cambrai, our first coffee stop of the day. After coffee we continue as we mean to go on and head into the twisty roads of the Ardennes region. Here we duck in and out across the French and Belgium borders. Following the winding banks of the Meyse and Semois rivers to our hotel for the next three nights.

Day 2 - Ride Out

speed 154 Miles
timer 4.5 hrs

Starting the day with a buffet style breakfast we take a relaxed ride on some twisty roads through beautiful wooded areas and rolling country side, leading us to Roche-En-Ardennes which will be our first stop for the day. Every good motorcycling holiday needs a photo opportunity and sitting on a WWII tank while looking down across the small town and Castle laying on a sharp bend in the river Ourthe, is definitely that.

Lunch is taken in the picturesque town of Dinant, squeezed between the river Meyse and the high rocks that overlook the imposing Citadel below.

On leaving this town its onto Rochefort and a relaxed ride through open countryside leading back to our hotel for the second night.

Day 3 - Ride out

speed 168 Miles
timer 5 hrs

Today we look forward to twisty smooth surfaced roads, pure biking heaven. We head north through rolling countryside and our first stop of the day at the famous Spa-Francorchamps Race Circuit. Stopping for about an hour to watch some race car or bike action and a chance of a photo op at Eau Rouge. From here we cross into Germany, into the National Park Eifel and lunch is taken at the famous bikers ranch, a typical German biker cafe that is always busy with bikers from all nations. It even has a motorcycle shop next door. After a relaxed lunch its onto the Eifel Mountains to play. These roads have every type of bend imaginable, very little traffic, considerate and courteous drivers so they offer plenty of challenges and are the perfect place for you to hone your riding skills further.

We finish our days ride heading into the Oesling Region of Luxembourg across back into Belgium and our hotel for the third night.

Day 4 - Ardennes to Calais

speed 250 Miles
timer 5.75 hrs

Sadly, time to head back already, but not before we spend our last day having lots of fun. Its west we are heading and into France and the first couple of hours are spent in the Parc Nationel Regional des Ardennes, wonderful valley views and tree lined roads. Then its the rolling plains of rural France all the way to Calais to say our goodbyes and catch the train.
