What's Not Included
Day 1 - Calais to Troyes
After a meet and greet at the EuroTunnel and a little train tip to France, we jump straight onto the motorway for the first hour and half. Exiting the motorway we will be checking out the Route National heading south between Paris and Reims. Stopping in Soissons for lunch. Soissons is one of the most ancient towns in France, sating back to Julius Caesar B.C.57 when the town surrendered to him. Fun filled back roads will be our route down to Troyes for our first night together, some nice food, drink and chat as we start to make new friends.
Day 2 - Troyes to Montreux
Today we head south east on fantastic smooth sweeping tarmac across the rolling French countryside. We then cross into Switzerland and travel the north shore of Lac Leman to our first lakeside hotel of the tour. With the harbour right in front of the restaurant terrace we are sure to have a view for the evening.
Day 3 - Montreux - Brissago
We start the day finishing off the ride of the north shore of Lac Leman before heading into the magnificent Swiss Alps. It is then on to Italy and Lago Maggiore for our second shore front hotel of the tour.
Day 4 - Brissago - Malgrate
Today we are going to ride along the banks of three lakes, Marriore, Lugano and Como. All with stunning views and lakeside bars and restaurants to die for. Only four hours riding today, so a nice and early finish so that we can enjoy our over night stay in Lecco.
Day 5 - Malgrate to Montreux
After a fantastic afternoon and evening in Lecco we start our journey homeward heading for the west banks of Lake Maggiore, up through the Ente Parco Nazionale della Val Grande into Switzerland and Lake Geneva for our final lakeside stay of the tour.
Day 6 - Montreux - Troyes
Starting the day riding the north shore of Lake Geneva we head north through the Parc Jura Vaudois in France. Rolling countryside on empty RN roads is the order of the day, always great fun cutting through France.
Day 7 - Troyes to Calais
Its home time today, mainly RN across country then pop onto the motorway for the last hour. A nice relaxed ride for the last day of the tour.
